HandOver expert meeting in Brussels
Together with the HANDOVER project partners we had a one day workshop to disseminate the project outcomes that we achieved so far and invite external experts to participate in the training toolbox. Besides the medical interventions, cultural aspects of handovers, and cost calculations for the interventions were presented. We presented the HANDOVER toolbox, a community portal that will address the wide diversity of handover procedures between hospitals and house doctors, nurses, medical doctors, and between different units within a hospital. The dissemination event was a great success the experts really liked it and where very active from the very beginning. We also had a lot of interactive sessions rather than death by PowerPoint presentations. At total 70 experts from 16 countries attended the workshop and representatives from the EU Commission were also present.
